With my largest telescope being a 127mm Maksutov, many of the fainter deep sky objects are either totally invisible or are just "tick of the list before I die" objects, showing just a faint smudge. On the other hand M101 was a nice surprise and M25 and M35 are a real treat and much better than in my 15x70 binoculars.
